Bonds Big Band (DE)

Bonds Big Band is an ensemble of the Municipal Music School Weil am Rhein. The young band members have been thrilling their audiences for years with jazz, swing, latin, pop, and rock. The group, which features saxophones, trumpets, trombones, horns, flutes, piano, bass, and drums, has long been more than just an insider tip, not only in the 3-Country-City of Weil am Rhein.

Performances at Kidsjazz Festival in Leipzig and concert tours to San Sebastian, Prague, Munich, Berlin, Leipzig, and Milan, as well as projects with lecturers from SWR Big Band, composition commissions, and collaborations with instrumentalists and singers testify to the band's high standard. In May of this year, participation in the Youth Music Festival in Catalonia was a particular highlight.

The ensemble was founded in 2010 by saxophonist and clarinetist Christian Leitherer. The bandleader started out with seven children. Today, the group consists of more than 40 young people aged 11 to 24. They perform in a wide variety of formations and lineups. They will again be demonstrating their skills at 3LSF 2025.
