Stadtmusik Weil am Rhein (DE)

3-Country City Festival will be musically opened on the Rathausplatz stage by Stadtmusik Weil am Rhein. Founded in 1839, it is one of the city's most important associations with around 40 active musicians.

In addition to marches and classical brass music, Stadtmusik Weil am Rhein is particularly known for its contemporary modern pieces. Its repertoire includes serious and entertaining works that also showcase the solo qualities of individual musicians. Under the baton of conductor Kai Trimpin, the orchestra performs at many concerts and official events in the 3-Country City throughout the year. A particular highlight this year was its participation in the official opening parade of the Eurovision Song Contest in Basel.
