Luiku is a Carpathian beats band from Kiev. Their passionate music is inspired by Ukrainian traditions and musical cultures of the Balkans. Percussion, sometimes electronic and sometimes analog, is complemented by powerful brass, magical female voices, accordion and many other instruments.

The band leader and songwriter is the well-known Ukrainian musician and producer Dmytro Tsyperdyuk. During his many trips to the Transcarpathian regions, he recorded exclusive musical material and learned to play various local instruments.

The band's name refers to the character Loiku Zabara from the movie "The Gypsy Camp Moves to Heaven" and the West Ukrainian word for "uncle".  Luiku's music is a colorful mixture of different musical styles that can be found in the vast Carpathian region. Sounds from Ukraine, Turkey, Poland, Hungary and Romania can be found in the energetically performed songs. This dynamic mix of hot Carpathian beats is one thing above all: extremely good to dance to!
